Jessie H. Smith
1912 - 2004
Smith, Jessie H. - 92, of Two Islands Rd., Parrsboro passed away Saturday,
April 3, 2004 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan
surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fraserville, she was a daughter of
the late Samuel and Sara (Crossman) Crossman. She will be fondly remembered
for her loving and caring ways, her baking and her willingness to lend a
helping hand. She had such a big heart and everyone was always welcome in
her home. She is survived by daughters, Anna Yorke (Charles Bourgeois),
Greenhill; June (Allison) Fulmore, Dartmouth; Alva (Ernie) Rooney, Hantsport;
a son, Billy (Vivian), Orangeville, Ont.; 18 grandchildren; 14 great
grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She was
predeceased in 1971 by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Cecil;
sisters, Leona, Hallie, Lillie, Jennie, Gertie, Susie, Anna, Madeline;
brothers, Lowie, Harley. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Monday at Smith’s Funeral
Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. George’s Anglican Church,
Parrsboro, Rev. Mark Pretty and Rev. Donna Lovelace officiating. Burial in
the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Parrsboro
Volunteer Fire Department, St. George’s Anglican Church or to a charity of
choice.
