Brown, Claude A. - 77, of Southampton, Cumberland
County passed away Monday, July 17, 2006 at Cumberland Regional Health Centre,
Upper Nappan. Born in Southampton, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Grace
(Carter) Brown. He drove bus for Acadian Lines and was a truck driver for Irving
Oil for many years. He retired as a truck driver from Casey Concrete in Amherst.
He was a member of the Knight’s of Pythias and the DOKK Lodge. He is survived by
a son, Russell (Linda), Southampton; brothers, Lawson; Gerald (Jessie), all of
Southampton; 2 grandchildren, Angie (Ted Wallace), Coldbrook; Jeff, Amherst;
special friend, Gail Jackson, Springhill. He was predeceased by his wife, Daisy
in 1996. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Smith’s Funeral
Home, Parrsboro, where a Knight’s of Pythias tribute service will be held at
7:00 p.m. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday (July 20, 2006) in the Southampton United
Church, Rev. Carolyn MacLeod and Rev. Elizabeth Davies officiating. Burial in
the Southampton Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Southampton
Cemetery, the Southampton United Church or the Nova Scotia Lung Association
