Hiltz, Iona E. “Myke” – Age 65, of Diligent River passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at home. Born in Advocate Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Edith (Mahar) Hiltz. She was member of the Canadian Armed Forces, retiring in 1993. She is survived by brothers, William, Toronto, Ont.; David, Barrie, Ont.; Bruce, Diligent River; Burton (Florence), Coldwater, Ont.; Sheldon (Janet), Parrsboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Bayna. Funeral service 1 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev. Marlene Quinn officiating. Burial in the Diligent River Baptist Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
