Yorke, David A. – 59, of Parrsboro passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at home. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of Vivian (Taylor) Yorke, Truro and the late Joseph Yorke. David was a licensed mechanic and was owner of Yorke’s Garage and Auto Salvage. He was a member of the Parrsboro Volunteer Fire Department for 23 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Marlene Patterson; a daughter, Martina Yorke, Parrsboro; a son, Dan (Jennifer Gautreau), Amherst; a sister, Heather Yorke-Nicks, Truro; a brother, William, Halifax; grandchildren, Cara and Casey Yorke; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by an infant son, Adam; a brother, Brian. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in David’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of choice.
