Collinson, Elizabeth E. “Betty” – Age 86, of Parrsboro passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan surrounded by family. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Doris (McAloney) Carr. Betty was a retired employee of the Royal Bank in Parrsboro. Betty is survived by a daughter, Sandra Dunphy (Ronny), Parrsboro; a son, Steven (Norma), Parrsboro; sisters, Mildred Carr-Shrum, Parrsboro; Phyllis Burke (Robbie), Amherst; a brother, Charles Carr (Elaine), Parrsboro. She was predeceased by a sister, Irene McCulley. Also, surviving are grandsons, Jeremy Dunphy (Sarah), Windsor, Ont.; Will Dunphy, Greenwood; great grandson, Eamon. At Betty’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service held. Memorial donations may be made to the Parrsboro Regional High School Scholarship Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of choice.
