Collins, Kenneth H. - 86, of Ward's Brook, Cumberland County died Thursday, January 20, 2000 at Bayview Memorial Health Centre, Advocate Harbour. Born in Allenville, Cumberland County, he was the son of the late John and Edna (Morris) Collins. He was a retired lumberman and carpenter. He is survived by his wife, the former Marie Rebecca MacDougall; two daughters, Melba Shute (David), Lower Sackville; Janice Brooks (Derrick), Thunder Bay, Ont.; two sons, Kenneth (Maureen), Advocate; John (Vina), Brookville; four brothers, Willis, Spencer's Island; Leonard, Parrsboro; Lorway, Amherst; 8 grandchildren, Sharon, Sandra, June, Jean, Valerie, Kenneth, Cory, Kyle; 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one sister, Gretchen; one brother, Aldon; one grandson, Dwayne. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at Hi-way Pentecostal Church, Parrsboro, Pastor Henry DeVito officiating. Burial in the Riverbank Cemetery, Port Greville at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Bayview Memorial Health Centre Foundation, Advocate Harbour or to a charity of choice.
