ROBERTS, TANYA LEE ANNE - 34, of Parrsboro, Cumberland County, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 17, 2001 at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Calgary, she moved to Parrsboro with her family when she was the age of 5. She graduated from Parrsboro Regional High School in 1987 and achieved a Diploma in the Medical Office Assistant Program with Honors in 1999. Tanya was a member of St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church, Parrsboro. She is survived by her parents, David and Judy (Connors) Roberts, Parrsboro; was the oldest sister of Michael, and wife, Carla, Calgary; Alyson, Halifax; Matthew, Parrsboro; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Connors, Parrsboro; paternal grandmother, Margaret Roberts, Parrsboro. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Bernard (Bun) Connors; paternal grandfather, Lloyd Roberts. Tanya's spirit, determination to live and good nature in the face of chronic pain were an inspiration to all who knew her. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Monday at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Brigid's Catholic Church, Parrsboro, Father Philippe Thibodeau and Father Gaetan Banyog-enne officiating, deacon Howie Goldstein assisting. Burial in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, St. Brigid's Catholic Church, Parrsboro, South Cumberland Community Care Centre or to a charity of choice.
