Lewis, Maude Mildred - 83, of Lower Five Islands, Cumberland County passed away
peacefully at Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst on Thursday, April 5,
2001, after a brief illness. Born at Mapleton, Cumberland County, she was the
daughter of the late Gertrude Brown. In passing she leaves to mourn her
children, Gwen and Myrna Lewis, at home; Betty Walton, Five Islands; Cecil
(Pat), Five Islands; Garth (Carol), Springhill; Timmy, Five Islands; Myles
(Dawn), Florida; Veryle (Joyce), Five Islands; Ida (Eric), Amherst; Ann (Dave),
Sackville, N.B.; her loving grandchildren, Annette, Lovett, Rocky, Bliss,
Veryle, Crystalann, Roxanne, Wyman, Robert, Tiffiany, Penny, Angela, Derrick,
Tracey; great-grandchildren left to mourn are, Kristyn, Zachery, Sage, Jeremy,
Brooke, Emma, Jasmine, and Brody; a sister, Ida Cameron, Economy; four brothers,
Jimmy Rhyno, Elijah Brown, Elisha Brown, Elisha Brown, Paul Brown; several
nieces and nephews; and a good and true friend Veda Smith. She was predeceased b
her husband, Smith; infant children, Glenda and Dwight; granddaughter, Wanda
Lee; son-in-law, Wyman; sisters, Doris, Hattie, Ida Davis; brothers, Mason, Roy,
Charlie and Ira; brother-in-law, Oliver and Billy. Visitation 3-5, 7-9 p.m.
Sunday at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral will be held 1 p.m. Monday at
Peniel United Church, Five Islands, the Rev. Dr. Kate Crawford officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lower Five Islands Cemetery. Memorial donations may
be made to the Lower Five Islands Church or to a charity of choice.
