MURRAY, GERALD E. - 56, of Truro, Colchester County, died Thursday, June 28, 2001 at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Wylie and Ella Carter. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Awalt; first wife, Gladys Murray, and her companion, Lorne Philips, Truro; a daughter, Juanita Murray, and her companion, Vincent, Hilden; a son, Donald, and his companion, Marjorie, Truro; sisters, Shirley Bennett, and her husband, Willie, Truro; brother, Wendell Carter, and his wife, Isabell, Truro; 4 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Taylor. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today (Friday) at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro where funeral will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. James Bushell officiating. Burial in the Port Greville United Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
