PHINNEY, GUY L. - 93, of Parrsboro, Cumberland County died Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born at Parrsboro Roads, he was the son of the late Percy and Mabel (Anderson) Phinney. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the merchant marine. He is survived by sons, Stephen and his wife, Donna, Amherst; Lloyd and his wife, Polly, Oakville, Ont.; sisters, Louise Nelson and her husband, Laurie, Scarborough; Irene, Scarborough; Alice Pagnello and her husband, Rockey, Markham, Ont.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Marie, Elsie, Leona, Beatrice; brothers, Russell and Don. Funeral service Friday, April 26, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev. Robert Richmond officiating. Burial in St. George's Anglican Cemetery, Parrsboro. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
