Redmond, Alice Elizabeth – 74, of Parrsboro, Cumberland County died Thursday, September 26, 2002 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Springhill, she was the daughter of the late Annie (MacLeod) Rector. She is survived by her son, Gerald (Audrey), Parrsboro; grandchildren, Brian (Tracy); Jeff, (Tena); Janice, all of Parrsboro; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Russell, Springhill; Herbert, Thomas, Carl, all of Sudbury, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Ralph Morris officiating. Burial in the Parrsboro Baptist Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Branch of the Kidney Foundation or to South Cumberland Community Care Centre Foundation.
