Inez Muriel Smith

Smith, Inez Muriel - 94, of Lighthouse Road,
Parrsboro, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2002, in Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in St. George, N.B., she was a daughter of
the late Samuel and Jessie (Thorne) Dodds. She was a graduate of Modern
Business College in Saint John in 1926. She worked as a stenographer for
many years throughout the Saint John and St. George area. She later worked
as a bookkeeper for more than 20 years with S.W. Smith & Son in Parrsboro
and later was a receptionist with Dr. Arno Elmik for eight years. She is
survived by daughters, Barbara McGuire, London, Ont.; Natalie Smith,
Springhill; son, Wayne, Parrsboro; sister, Audrey Carmichael, Woodstock; six
grandchildren, Brad, Randy & Steve McGuire; Debra, Laman & Troy Melanson;
Amanda Bowden; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her
husband, Douglas in 1955; sister, Melva; brothers, Frank, Arnold;
great-grandchild, Troy. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Smith's
Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday,
Rev. James Bushell officiating. Burial in Parrsboro United Cemetery.
