Rector (Marsh), Kathleen – 86, of Five Islands, Colchester County passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Lower Maccan, she was a daughter of the late James Millar and Elizabeth Jane (Adams) Lavers. She was a member of Peniel United Church, Five Islands, where she served as organist for many years. She is survived by a daughter, Beryl Elizabeth Nye (William), Nepean, Ont.; a granddaughter, Kathryn (David Kearney); a grandson, David Nye; great grandsons, Jason and Quinn Kearney; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ivan Clark Marsh; second husband, Wallace Rector; sisters, Sarah, Lily; a brother, James. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2004 at Peniel United Church, Five Islands, Rev. Florence Antle-Brison officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the South Cumberland Community Care Centre Access-a-Bus Fund or to a charity of choice.
