Faulkner, Mitchell Dean - 41, of San Diego, CA, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2004 in San Diego as the result of a tragic accident. He was a person of love, substance and class who affected all those who knew him over the years. Our hearts are saddened with his passing. Mitch was graduated from Dalhousie University and was a long standing and exemplary employee of IBM. Born in Parrsboro, he was the son of H. Le-Roy Faulkner, Upper Economy and the late Florence C. Faulkner. He is also survived by his partner, Rene Mares, San Diego; brothers Stephen, Bass River; Kevin, Halifax; a nephew, James, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by his sister, Wendy. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services were held in San Diego in July and a graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Economy Cemetery, Economy, Nova Scotia, Rev. Robert Mack officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the Kidney Foundation of Canada (Nova Scotia Branch) or to a charity of choice.
