Hiltz, Cheryl H. – 56, of Bass River, Colchester County passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Diligent River, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Roberta (Bowden) Hiltz. She was an active member of the Bass River Baptist Church and the U.C.W. in Economy, the Glooscap Country Bazaar and was C@P Chairperson for the Bass River site. She enjoyed crafts, birds and was an avid crib player. She is survived by her companion, Melvin McLellan; daughters, Angela Webb (Kevin) and grandson, Robert of Monson, Mass.; Cindy Field (Duffy) and grandson, Cody of Hope, B.C.; a son, Charles Field (Margaretha), Economy; and her special friend, Ice. Visitation 1-2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005 in the Bass River Baptist Church, followed by funeral service at 2 p.m., Rev. Cy Mersereau officiating. Social to follow. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
