Merriam-Sproule, Sadie E. – 96, of Advocate Harbour, Cumberland County passed away Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Bayview Memorial Health Centre, Advocate Harbour. Born in Advocate Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Elwin and Ethel (Lunn) Morris. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Ann Merriam (Bert Currie), Kingston; a sister, Vola Grant (Bill), Advocate Harbour; granddaughters, Nancy Ells-Hunter, Sackville, NB; Patricia MacEachern (Joe), Tantallon; great-grandchildren, Daniel, David and Julia Hunter; Kaiden, Ewan and Callum MacEachern; step-sons, Paul, George, Bernard, Eric, Hubert and Robert Sproule. She was predeceased by her first husband of 41 years, Joe Merriam; her second husband, Marshall Sproule; sisters, Mabel, Evangeline, Julia, Edith, Josephine, Cassie; brothers, Leland, Duncan; step-son, Donald Sproule. Visitation 2-4 pm Monday, February 6, 2006 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro and 7-9 pm Monday, February 6, 2006 at the Advocate United Church. Funeral 2:30 pm Tuesday (February 7, 2006) at the Advocate United Church, Rev. George Mollins officiating. Burial in the Advocate Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Bayview Memorial Health Centre Foundation, The Advocate United Church or to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. |
