Forbes, Dorothy G. – 87, of Parrsboro, Cumberland
County passed away Monday, August 7, 2006 at South Cumberland Community Care
Centre, Parrsboro. Born at Crossroads, she was a daughter of the late William
and Mamie (Smith) Henwood. She was a member and Past Noble Grand of the Blomidon
Rebecca Lodge, and a member of the Parrsboro Baptist Church, where she was
active with the Willing Workers. She was an avid quilter and a wonderful cook.
She is survived by daughters, Audrey Hyslop (Roderick), Riverview; Sandra
MacLean (Ronald), Parrsboro; Shirley Hatfield (Glenford), Port Greville; a son,
David (Lynda), Caledon, Ont.; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. She was
predeceased by her husband, Cecil “Sam”; a sister, Winnifred; brothers,
Marshall, Alfred, Percy, Hedley, Lawson. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August
9, 2006 at
Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday (August 10, 2006) at the Parrsboro
Baptist Church, Lic. Marlene Quinn officiating. Burial in the Parrsboro Baptist
Cemetery.
