Allen, Ruby B. – 92, of Fox River, Cumberland County, passed away Monday, December 25, 2006 at Bayview Memorial Health Centre, Advocate Harbour. Born in Port Greville, she was a daughter of the late Seymour and Maude (Ells) McCully. She was a life member of the Pythian Sisters and Calanthe Temple #9 and a devoted member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Fox River. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by daughters, Madeline Lake; Ethel Mumford (Derek), all of Fox River; Barbara Warren, Truro; sons, James (Jo-Anne), Fox River; Charles (Millie), Parrsboro; 21 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland; a daughter, Muriel Canning; sisters, Gertrude Newcombe, Carrie Legere, Maurita Hahnen, Gletta Loh; Winnie McKay, Bertha Marsh; brothers, Brenton, Harold, Trueman, Thornton, Lorne, Emerson; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Lake. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday (December 27, 2006) at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday (December 28, 2006) at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Fox River, Rev. Mark Pretty officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Church or to a charity of choice.
