LORETTE, William A. - 76, Parrsboro, Cumberland Co., passed away Friday, February 15, 2008, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Walton, Hants Co., he was a son of the late Frederick and Melda (Babineau) Lorette. He served 26 years with the Canadian Army. He is survived by his wife, the former Olive Elliott; daughters, Diane Conrad (Robert), Trena Atkinson (Frank); son, William, all of Rex, Ga.; sisters, Lorena Parsons (Leon), Parrsboro; Freda Adams, Five Islands; Joyce Myers (Frank), Lower Sackville; brothers, Roy, Five Islands; Freddie Lorette (Jackie), Halifax; grandchildren, Kimberley Wheeler (John), Stockbridge, Ga.; Brian Vogel, Augusta, Ga.; Jason Vogel (Cindy), Stockbridge, Ga.; Candice Lorette, Virginia; Ashley Lorette, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Lauren Vogel, Augusta, Ga.; Kylie Vogel, Augusta, Ga., and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Valerie. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday [February 19, 2008] in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday [February 20, 2008] in St. Brigid's Catholic Church, Parrsboro, Father David MacDonald officiating. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
