SEARS, Shirley M. – 85, of Parrsboro passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Maxwell and Lena (McWhirter) Sears. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Brown (Lloyd), Halifax; a brother, William “Bill” (Frances), Truro, their sons, William (Susan), Thunder Bay, Ont. and Brian (Marlene), Truro; aunts, Josephine Yorke, Sudbury, Ont. and Florence Willigar, Amherst. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday [November 13, 2010] at St. George’s Anglican Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to St. George’s Anglican Church or to the Adult Daycare Program of South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro.
