Lloyd V. Repetto
REPETTO, Lloyd V. - 81, of Parrsboro passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Stephen and Annie (Keddy) Repetto. Lloyd began his working career with S.E. O’Regan in Parrsboro as an apprentice mechanic. He later started the Crossroads Garage with his brother in law, Danny McPhee where he worked for 27 years. Upon his retirement he was caretaker of Paul and Steve O’Regan’s properties in the Parrsboro area. He was a gifted woodworker and was a ham radio operator since he was a child. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by a son, Johnson (Wendy), Parrsboro; a granddaughter, Bethany; a grandson, Cameron; nieces and nephews, Gloria Repetto, Laura Peters and Mary Ormsey; Mary, Gloria and Linda McPhee; Jean, Marlene, Timothy McPhee and Beverly Pugsley; David Thompson and Gladys Jean MacPherson; Sheldon and Garfield McPhee; Clyde, Gerald and Scott McPhee. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Jean McPhee in 2004; a sister, Mona; a brother, Gerald. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday [January 13, 2011] at St. George’s Anglican Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
