Wayne L. Fillmore
FILLMORE, Wayne L. – 59, of Advocate Harbour passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Advocate Harbour, he was a son of Marion (Grant) Fillmore, Advocate Harbour and the late Douglas Fillmore. Wayne was a graduate of NSCC (Dartmouth Campus). He lived in Toronto for 15 years where he was employed at Domtar. He returned home in 1987 and began working on the local fishing boats. He retired in 1999 following an ATV accident. For the last few years, he was caregiver to his mom until she moved from the family home. He is survived by his brothers, Arden (Dianne), Elmsdale; William (Monette), Moncton; nieces, Tina Bevis (Chris), Timberlea; Michelle Bohaychuk (Kevin), Halifax; nephews, Clifford Fillmore (Twilah), Moncton; Scott Fillmore (Monique), Sussex; aunts, Doris Whidden, Truro; Della Greeno, Lorneville; uncle, William Grant, Advocate Harbour; numerous cousins. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a niece, Colleen Fillmore. There will be no funeral service at Wayne’s request. Graveside committal service Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 3 p.m. in the Advocate Cemetery, Rev. Keith Selwyn-Smith officiating. Memorial donations may be made to a the Advocate Cemetery Fund or to a charity of choice. |
