LOWTHER, ROSE M. – 92, of Truro and formerly of Parrsboro passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late John and Anne (Wells) Morrissey. She is survived by daughters, Patricia Barlow, Bass River; Margaret “Peggy” Hadley, Truro; sons, Carman (Liz), Florida; Douglas (Marilyn), Springhill; a brother, Glen (Geraldine), Highland Village; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Monson Lowther; sisters, Margaret, Marion; brothers, Michael, Arthur, Ted. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday [May 5, 2012] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Deacon Howard Gotell officiating. Burial in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Parrsboro. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
