ALLEN, WILLARD A.- 63, of Fox River passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2012. Born in Apple River, he was a son of the late Arlie and Beulah (Bennett) Allen. During his lifetime, Willard attended the Bob Rumball and Belleville Schools for the Deaf in Ont. He was employed by CSS Manufacturing and ARC Industries of Walkerton Community Living, Ont. Willard will be remembered for his warm personality, contagious smile, his deep love of family, friends, caregivers and God. Music and church were the highlights of Willard’s life. He is survived by sisters, Donna Benjamin (Seldon), Fox River; Wyma Robert (Jim Sawler), Lake Echo; Margaret Allen (Steve Taskar), Fox River, step-sister, Dora Thibeau (John), Red Deer, Alta.; step-brother, Stanley Giles (Jackie), Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Marie; a brother, Alton; a step-brother, Victor Giles. Visitation 6-8 pm on Friday [January 4, 2013] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2 pm on Saturday [January 5, 2013] at the Parrsboro Baptist Church, Rev. Greg Doyle and Rev. Henry Devito officiating. Burial in the Port Greville United Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
