Wood, Edith E. - 79, of Parrsboro passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Halverson) DeBaie. She is survived by her husband, Ronald “Donnie”; daughters, Sandra Wood, Pugwash; Debbie Wood, Parrsboro Roads; Sharon Doncaster (John), Grande Prairie; Alta.; Lisa Shea (Justin), Parrsboro; sons, John Henwood, Hamilton, Ont.; Roger Wood (Pam Caine), New Hampshire; sisters, Bev Brown (Bill), Amherst; Phyllis Cliffe, Springhill; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Kathleen Wood; a son, Dale Ervin Wood; a grandson, Thomas Smith; a sister, Dorothy; a brother, Donald. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday [February 13, 2013] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday [February 14, 2013]. Burial in the Parrsboro United Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
