McPhee, Clyde D.
McPhee, Clyde D. - 61, of Saint John, N.B., formerly of Parrsboro, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John. Born in Springhill, he was a son of Myrna (Crowe) McPhee and the late George McPhee. Clyde is profoundly missed by his wife, Beverley (Kendrick) McPhee; his children, Christian (Sherri) of Toronto; Rachel (Stéphane), of Edmonton; Michael (Emma), of Halifax; Grampy’s “Little Miss”, his only grandchild, Summer Evangeline; his mother, Myrna (Roy), Amherst; brothers, Gerald (Sarah), Scott (Nancy), all of Parrsboro; nephew, Greg and nieces, Adeline and Emily. He was predeceased by his brother Roger in infancy. Clyde was a fiercely devoted husband and father, gifted draftsman and selfless friend. A 35 year veteran of the marine industry, he demonstrated the same steadfast work ethic that he applied to his personal life. Genuine, with a ‘pun’icious wit, he wasted no time on pretense. Clyde’s devotion to his family extended to his faithful companion ‘Bear’. Visitation 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Phil Thibodeau officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Reception to follow in St. Brigid’s Hall. Memorial donations may be made to Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation’s ‘The Give 2014’ Campaign or Bobby’s Hospice. |
