Yorke, Patricia M. “Pat” – Age 79, of Parrsboro
passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Little Yorke, Lower Five Islands, she
was a daughter of the late Robert Bowran and Lillian Davis. She is survived by
her husband of 40 years, Lyle; daughter, Gayle Smith (Allie Corbett), Parrsboro;
son, Robbie Smith (Dorothy Field), Lower Five Islands; step-daughter, Debbie
Yorke (Brent Merriam), Diligent River; step-son, Tim Yorke (Kathryn), London,
Ont.; sisters, Madge Lewis, Springhill; Greta Lewis (Keith), Lower Five Islands;
four grandchildren, Alison, Amy, Colin, Bethany; four step grandchildren,
Jennifer, Amanda, Cody, Sarah; six great-grandchildren, Ryland, Grace, Roy,
Hannah, Henry, Keith; two step great-grandchildren, Brody, Gloria; several
nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed dearly by her faithful dog,
Little Bit, who she so often called “Mamma’s Baby”. She was predeceased by
sisters, Lilyan Davis, Wenona Lorette; brother, Morton Davis. Visitation 6-8
p.m. Saturday [September 13, 2014] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2
p.m. on Sunday [September 14, 2014] in St. George’s Anglican Church, Parrsboro,
Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Reception to follow
in the church hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Adult Day Care Program
of South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro.
