Brown, Brian R. – Age 67, of Moncton, New Brunswick and formerly of New Salem, Nova Scotia passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at home. Born in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Basil and Dorothy (Berry) Brown. Brian retired from the Moncton High School as a dedicated stationary engineer. He is survived by a sister, Valerie Henderson (David), Moncton; brothers, Eric Brown, Oakville, Ont.; David (Violet), Kingston, Ont.; brother-in-law, Fred Steeves, Moncton; nieces and nephews, Peter (Martina), Holly, Connor and Cameron Brown; Angie (Kevin), Sarah and Ryan MacKnight. He was predeceased by a sister, Annie Steeves; a brother, Frederick. Visitation 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Spencer’s Island Union Church, Spencer's Island, Nova Scotia, where funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., Pastor Valerie Henderson officiating. Burial in the Advocate Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Advocate Fire Hall. Memorial donations may be made to Cherryfield Baptist Church (Syrian Family Fund), Moncton.
