Denzil W. McLellan

McLellan, Denzil W. - Age 95, of Truro, and formerly of Economy, Toronto and Parrsboro passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Economy, he was a son of the late John A. and Vera (Marsh) McLellan. Denzil was a veteran of the Second World War serving five years in Scotland with the Forestry Corp. He later was employed as a land surveyor with the Toronto General Burying Grounds for 37 years. Upon his retirement, he was a member of Parrsboro Legion Branch No. 45 and Minas Masonic Lodge, Parrsboro. He is survived by his wife, Muriel (McLellan) McLellan; a daughter, Sharon McLellan-Bisson (Maurice), Pont-Rouge, Qué.; sons, David McLellan, Ottawa, Ont.; Eric McLellan (Janet), Markdale, Ont.; John A. McLellan (Kim Corlett), Ottawa, Ont.; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, LeRoy and Harvey. Private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
