Lockyer, Susan N. - Age 51, of Five Islands passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 surrounded by loving family at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Scarborough, Ont., she was the daughter of Donald Wells, Springdale, Nfld. and Patricia (Draper) Wells, Cobourg, Ont. Susan was an avid crafter, creating many beautiful projects for all of her family. You could often find her roaming her favourite beaches in search of beautiful treasures to add to her collection. Susan was the definition of a ‘Mama Bear’ who took the well-being of her family very seriously. Not a day would go by where she wouldn't put her family first before her own needs. She is survived by her caring husband, Enos; daughters, Alison Lockyer (Jordan Willner), Truro; Amy MacArthur (Brock), Cobourg, Ont.; a son, Joshua, Five Islands; and her seven wonderful grandchildren, Violet Willner; Caie-Sun, Sloan, Hawkins, Avery and Amara MacArthur; Lily Lockyer. Funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Rev. Florence Antle-Brison officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the IWK Health Centre Foundation.
