Basil W. Rector

Rector, Basil W. – Age 85, of Parrsboro passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan. Born in Parrsboro, he was the son of the late Raeburn and Eva (Smith) Rector. Basil worked for C.E. Harrison and Sons, Babineau Farm and Kernohan Farm for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Bertha Jeffers; daughters, Kathryn (Rod Burrows), NWT; Trina Foote (George), Woodville; a son, Kevin, Parrsboro; grandchildren, Courtney, TJ, Dan, Erik; great grandchildren, Kai, Shaeden, Casey, Kassidy, Jaidyn, Adison, Thea; as well, his best friend Lacey, his dog. He was predeceased by sisters, Audrey, Beulah; a brother, Lowell. At Basil’s request, no funeral service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Cumberland Regional Health Center Foundation.
