Lake, Sharlene P. – Age 43, of Parrsboro – It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sharlene at home on Friday, April 24, 2020 with her loving husband, Tim by her side. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Darlene Laird, Tatamagouche; the late Gerald McNutt; and stepfather, the late Jack Laird. Sharlene moved to Parrsboro in October of 2000 after meeting Tim, to whom she married in 2003. Sharlene was an active community member and was a great supporter of community events. Sharlene was a member of the Parrsboro Lion’s Club, and member of the Parrsboro Baptist Church. She had a great love for animals and had many special pets over the years, including her dog, Daisy who she lost last year. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Tim; mother-in-law, Elaine Lake, Parrsboro; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Girven (Tim), Pennsylvania; Shawna Cameron (Carl), Parrsboro; brothers-in-law, James Lake (Geraldine), River Hebert; Stanley Lake (Robin), Diligent River; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, James Lake; sister-in-law, Annie Hiltz; niece, Denver Hatfield; nephew, Jordan Lake. With respect to the health safety of others surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of Sharlene’s life will be scheduled at a later date, once health restrictions are lifted. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of choice.
