Boyd, Frederick J. ‘Fred’ – Age 65, of Parrsboro passed away suddenly on Monday, November 30, 2020 at home. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late Jack B. and Elsie (Glenwright) Boyd. Fred had just recently retired from Cross Roads Coop after 43years. He enjoyed all the years there talking with old and new friends. Fred received a camera for his retirement and renewed his love of photography. Family was important to Fred he always enjoyed when we would gather for one event or another. Also in the last number of years discovered his love for cooking always looking for new recipes to try. Fred is survived by a sister, Susan Greene (Craig), Amherst; a brother, Jack (Carolyn), Parrsboro; nieces, Jillian Webber (Brian), Halifax; Dr. Jacqueline Boyd (Dr. Paul Bajor), Airdrie, Alberta; a nephew, Jarrett Greene, Amherst; great niece, Julia Bajor; great-nephew, Liam Bajor. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 1 pm at the Parrsboro United Cemetery, Pastor David Forbes officiating. All are welcome! Covid-19 precautionary measures will be necessary (physical distancing and masks required). Memorial donations may be made to Autism Nova Scotia Cumberland Branch.
