Joycelyn 'Joyce' Y. Canning

Canning, Joycelyn Y. 'Joyce' – Age 90, of Parrsboro passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Rutherglen, Ont., she was a daughter of the late Russell and Yvonne (Bellaire) James. She is survived by sisters, Elaine Kilroy, Hilda Sullivan (Kenneth), all of North Bay, Ont.; Wyona Cayen, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.; a brother, Randall (Sally), North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Murray; sisters, Janet, Alice, Margaret; a brother, Clifford. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020 at St. George’s Anglican Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Dr. Brian Spence officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we kindly request you call Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro between 10 am and 5 pm to reserve your attendance for the service at 902-254-2221, as space is limited. We ask that all Covid-19 protocols are observed including masks and physical distancing while in the church and at the cemetery. Burial will follow service in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. George’s Anglican Church, Parrsboro.
