George N.H. Wheaton

Wheaton, George N.H. – Age 78, of Fox River, passed away peacefully on Monday February 6, 2023 at the QEII (Infirmary Site), Halifax. Born in Fox River, he was a son of the late Howard and Lyda (Pettis) Wheaton. George operated Wheaton’s Irving in Parrsboro since 1980. George truly enjoyed the woods, and was known by many as the “sap master.” He is survived by his wife, Rachel (DeWolfe); sons, Graham, Vancouver; Glenn, Ward’s Brook; Leigh (Buffy-Jo), North Greville; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jessie-Rae, Sahara. Funeral service will be held 2pm on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Port Greville Baptist Church, Pastor Douglas Lake officiating. Reception to follow at the Port Greville Community Centre (Fire Hall). Memorial donations may be made to the Port Greville Baptist Church or Riverbank Cemetery, Port Greville.
