Violet 'Sis' Taylor

Taylor, Violet H. ‘Sis’ – Age 90, of Parrsboro passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Hazel (Warren) Scott. Early in her life, she worked with Wasson’s Bakery, Parrsboro. Later she worked in laundry and housekeeping at South Cumberland Memorial Hospital, from where she retired. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Forrest (Willis), Sydney Mines; Anna Marie Clarke (Chris), Parrsboro; Debbie Taylor, Parrsboro; a sister, Sharon Doyle (Martin), Wawa, Ont.; brothers, Nelson and Joe, both of North Sydney; grandchildren, Burton Pettis, Leonard Forrest, James Forrest, Christopher Forrest, Justin Clarke, Brittany Clarke, Travis Taylor, Tiffany Taylor; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence ‘Duckie’; sons, Terry, James in infancy; daughter in law, Theresa (Gilbert) Taylor; sisters, Rachel, Mildred, Mary, Marie; brothers, George, Finney, Bobby, Alf, Ronald in infancy, Conrad, David and Billy McAdam; step-father, Bill MacAdam. In keeping with ‘Sis’ wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Recreation Program of South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro.
