Smith, Wayne D. - Age 77, of Parrsboro passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre (Infirmary Site), Halifax. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Douglas and Inez (Dodds) Smith. He is survived by a daughter, Amanda Smith (Pat), Kentville; special nephew, Troy Melanson (Sharon), Parrsboro; grandchildren, Max and Willan Smith, Kentville; chosen granddaughter, Brenda Clark Brightman, Windsor; best friend Charlie Perry (Anna), Parrsboro; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Natalie and Barbara. Visitation will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1-2 pm at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will follow at 2 pm, Pastor David Forbes officiating. Following the service, a gathering of family and friends will be held at the family home on Lighthouse Road, Parrsboro starting at 5pm. All are welcome!
