Richardson, Melvin H. - Age 84, of Greenhill passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born at Indian Harbour, Halifax County, he was a son of the late Gordon and Maretha (Richardson) Richardson. Mel was in the food services industry for much of his working life, having worked at the Sou’ Wester at Peggy’s Cove for many of those years. Mel was an avid gardener and enjoyed being outdoors. He was organist and choir director for Trinity United Church, Parrsboro for many years. He is survived by his sisters, Lenora, Violet, Mona; brothers, Albert, Edgar; numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Heather Haslam-Richardson; sisters, Marie, Carol; brothers, Clarence, Gordon, Maxwell, Cyril, Harvey, William. In keeping with Mel’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. Memorial donations to a charity of choice.
