Marion Jean Parker

Parker, Marion Jean - Age 92, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023 in the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth. Jean was born to Roland and Ella (Morris) Fraser on May 13, 1931. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, John Andrew Parker and nephews, Richard Fraser, Stephen Foster, Peter Foster. She is survived by brother, Stephen Fraser; nephews, Michael Fraser, Scott Fraser, all of Advocate Harbour; and nieces, Janet Fraser, Delhaven; Pam Duguay, Nanaimo, B.C. and their families. Jean grew up in Fraserville leaving to attend the Nursing School of The Children's Hospital, Halifax graduating in 1953. She married the love of her life, Jack in 1956. She continued to work at various nursing positions for several years. When she retired, she volunteered at the IWK. She loved cruises, going on 63 to different parts of the world. She also loved to play cards, and loved when she won the most. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In keeping with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private burial will take place in the Advocate Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to Souls Harbour Mission, Hope Cottage or a charity of choice.
