Henry A. Hingley

Hingley Jr., Henry A. – Age 71, of Fox River passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at home, with his wife of 46 years, Georgia by his side. Born and raised in East River St. Mary’s, he was a son of Janet (Russell) Hingley, Thorburn and the late Henry A. Hingley, Sr. During Henry's younger days, he worked for Home Hardware in Debert for 10 years as a forklift operator. He later worked for the Crossroads Co-op in Parrsboro as the bookkeeper for many years retiring in 2003. Henry was a devoted husband, father and ‘Papa’ to his grandchildren. He enjoyed nightly FaceTime calls, visiting with his family, enjoyed fishing with his special friend, Dick Stronge, and time at the camp spent with special friend, Hollie Benjamin. Besides his mother, Henry is survived by his wife, Georgia (Winter) Hingley; a daughter, Shannon Morris (Glen), Brampton, Ont.; sons, Jason (Ashley), Shearwater; Adam (Maddie), New Glasgow; sisters, Susan MacGillivray (Billy), Thorburn; Bonnie Mullin (Todd), Thorburn; his grandchildren, Claire, Max, Jack, Ryleigh, Ryerson, Ryken, Emilia, Piper, Easton. He was predeceased by brothers, Angus and twin brothers, David and Douglas; a sister, Sarah. A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held from 1-4 pm on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the FPW Community Centre, Port Greville (Fire Hall). All are welcome! Memorial donations in Henry’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
