McCarthy, Curtis L. - 43, of Parrsboro, Cumberland County died Friday, April 30, 1999 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre (VG Site), Halifax. Born in Springhill, he was the son of the late Harvey and Emma Belle (Cooke) McCarthy. He was a graduate of Springhill High School. He was employed with Household Finance Corporation until accepting postition with the CIBC, Parrsboro as Loans Manager. He is survived by his wife, the former Wendy Mazur; two daughters, Beth Ann, Erin Margaret; two sons, Jospeh Curtis, Raymond Matthew, all at home; one sister, Faye Currie, Five Islands; two brothers, Raymond, Springhill; Ronald, Lower Five Islands; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev. Jeffrey White officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
